Dr. Tetine Sentell
Dr. Tetine Sentell’s research connects quantitative analyses of health services and public health surveillance data with patient stories, social ecological theory, and scholarship synthesis. She’s published 125+ papers and led projects from the National Institutes of Health, the Hawaiʻi Department of Health, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality among other funders.
Dr. Sentell has served as a Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute Methodologic reviewer and in a World Health Organization expert role. One important area of expertise is health literacy. Dr. Sentell is part of the Global Working Group on Health Literacy from the International Union for Health Promotion and Education.
